| Beccas life consists of running the nightclub that had been her fathers and bringing up her son. Being a single mother isnt always easy but both have survived. Surrounded by people shes known for most of her life helped through the ups-and-downs she has had over the years. Having grown up in this club, experiencing things that other children only see on television, having her mother die accidentally there right before her eyes, gives her a different view of the life around her. Until recently she hadnt focussed on any man for herself; the father of her son Drew died 8 years before and her love never waned in all that time. It took the questions of other children, and those of her son, to make her realize that her child needs and wants a daddy, as the other children have in their lives.
Two months ago Becca had finally taken the chance on a new man in her life and started dating Dylan, a musician, fairly steadily. Dylan wants this relationship to go somewhere; he feels he loves her and adores her son. But something odd started happening recently; someone has been sending Becca red roses, with the accompanying card unsigned other than with a little poem. No one she knows has come forward as the secret admirer and the entire situation is rather spooky. Now it is escalating; the poems are getting more vicious and the flowers continue to arrive, even with her forbidding other deliveries. A visit to the police to report the stalking turns her entire life upside down, and in a very big way. This story was very enjoyable. I wasnt sure until a certain point just who might be a bad guy and who a good one, and Becca certainly deserved a good guy in her life. It was really nice for the characters to have a chance to get their lives in order after so long, even including the mother-in-law. And I was rooting for Tanner.
