| Vincenzo di Liberti and Carlie Pierino made their vows for forever on Christmas Eve. Now all Carlie can think of is avoiding anything to do with the holiday. Her room mate Tracey worries about her so much that maybe she's the one who helps call up the three spirits who show Carlie her past, present and the future in living color.
Mardi Ballou writes a very modernized version of the old Christmas tale complete with vampire lovers. Carlie is much like Scrooge, refusing to believe in the holiday or love. But Vincenzo has to take some blame too. Love is a two person proposition and it seems like he's willing to admit he forgot that part. Ms. Ballou and the three spirits are giving them the second chance that not everyone is lucky enough to get. But, what the heck, it's Christmas and we all hope for a happy ending when it's the season of giving! The author does a great job crafting the characters who show Carlie her life. If life isn't scary enough the creatures should at least help her make the best decision. This is a wonderful Christmas story.
