| Ian is a werewolf that is running, from himself and his past with his family. He’s a drifter, and he’s finally gotten to the point that he’s picking fights and becoming wilder everyday just to feel alive. While running through the woods one day, he sees a huge man chopping wood and knows that this werewolf can beat him senseless… but throws himself on him anyway just to see if he can do it. What he finds instead is a way of life that will change the way he thinks about everything. Always unhappy and unable to control his base nature, he finds that they may have just what he needs to restrain his headstrong ways and help him be calm.
I loved this story, there is a lot going on with Ian and throughout the story I got to learn a lot about him and what makes him tick. When I first read about Ian, I wasn’t sure that I was going to like him very much because he was rather obnoxious and hard to like. He seemed like a hard man that was out of control and knows it, but can’t quite bring himself to care about the destructive path he’s on. When he meets Douglas and Gray, he starts to realize that he may be missing something, even if he doesn’t want to admit it to himself. His journey to self discovery with Khalid was captivating and erotic, and I wanted to know more about the world he and his lover lives in. I thought this was an exceptional story, its very character driven yet with plenty of action, it was absolutely fascinating to read, I just couldn’t put it down. It’s one that’s unquestionably a keeper, and shouldn’t be missed!
