Sebastian is a tortured soul. He has allowed guilt to guide his life in that he never wanted to marry. Helen has been abused by her religiously obsessive uncle. She begins to believe what her uncle always told her. She is wanton when it comes to Sebastian. But Sebastian shows her that there is noting wrong with loving and enjoying the joys of the flesh. Together Sebastian and Helen find healing in each others arms. The romance is highly passionate and filled with scenes of explicitly described sensually erotic encounters. Suspense builds in the story as Jack the Ripper begins his killing spree. He stalks Helen allowing the tension to build for the reader. The action becomes exciting as Sebastian finds himself rescuing Helen from danger. Monica Burns does a wonderful job of bringing action to life through her vivid descriptions. Obsession by Monica Burns is a highly sensual historical romance filled with suspense and exciting action as two compelling characters find the healing and love they deserve.
