| Kayla can't sleep. Ever since she signed a separation agreement, she missed her husband so much that she had continuous insomnia. Paul Bentley, a police detective, wants his wife back. Calling her up, Paul tries to convince Kayla to let him come over and talk. Kayla refused; would it help if Paul comes to their house?
On Again is a short story about a couple in trouble. Paul wants to protect his wife from the criminals and drug uses that he takes off the street. As a drug counselor, Kayla seems to help put them back on the street. Distressed that Paul only talks to her when he wants sex, Kayla pushes Paul away. When he comes back to talk to her, they have sex-sex that is very important to both of them. Ms. Allen did quite a nice job of describing her characters and I found the plot to be interesting.
