| Ginny Drake's death left only two weeks for her son Jack to meet the conditions of her will or lose his inheritance and Regina's store. Her will requires him to marry Regina, who has been operating the Once in a Blue Moon Wiccan shop. It seems Regina’s contract for the sale of the shop has some problems so the property does not belong to Regina after all and Jack has come to foreclose. Except he doesn't. He tells her he loves her, that Ginny wants them to be married and then tells her to call him after giving her a kiss that melts her every thought into a puddle at his feet.
Regina can barely think when Jack is around. She doesn't want to lose her shop and she doesn't want Jack to lose his inheritance either. And she admits to herself that she has feelings for Jack. But marriage! Ginny may be dead, but she isn't gone. The smell of violets is around whenever her spirit is. Jack is just thankful she doesn't intrude when he is making love to Regina. And Regina is open to guidance from her missing friend. Even if she isn't quite sure what Ginny wants. Jack's enjoyment of Regina's physical attributes is entertaining and arousing. Ms. Kaye skillfully brings the reader into the passions and fears of the both lovers. And Regina's long denied love for Jack cannot be hid. Their kisses are so hot and real, you'll want to keep some ice water nearby. They decide to get married and the ceremony is planned just before the deadline. You'd think this is the end of the story, right. Almost. There is one more small surprise. This story is full of surprises and passion. And don't forget education on Wiccan beliefs. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Once in a Blue Moon is full of passion and fun and I can recommend it without reservation.
