| Leslie Coxwell is about to use everything she has to fight for her marriage. Her husband Matt seems like a stranger and she has so many things going on, she can't keep it straight. Her teenage daughter is a major trial; her mother-in-law has come to roost on her head and to top it all off, Matt walks out and decides to stay with his ex-girlfriend who makes her feel like a bag lady. Can Leslie figure out a way to save her marriage or is it already too late?
Matt can't seem to figure out where his marriage went wrong. After he walks out, he realizes the mistake he has made and is making plans to do whatever it takes to fix it. He has to deal with the death of his father before he can make anything right and that means getting professional help. Will his trauma interfere with resolving the problems in his marriage or can he finally move past his father's death and make a future with the woman he fell in love with so long ago. This book definitely hits home for a lot of women, it will turn your emotions upside down and put you on a dramatic roller coaster. Matt has some very serious issues with his father's death and puts his marriage in jeopardy by holding on to them. Leslie tries to make sense of what's happening with Matt, but he isn't exactly rational, which can make the reader mad at times, like when he moves in with his ex-girlfriend. You may often find yourself thinking what a jerk and how stupid can he be, then you start to realize that his emotional scars are influencing his thinking. Claire Cross has a knack for writing stories that actually have a basis in real life and could really happen to someone. I thoroughly enjoyed One More Time and look forward to reading the other books she has written.
