| Plain ole Carol Haley is certain that she is not the right woman material for Detective Liam Taggert. After all, he is the sexy eligible single father of Cooper Valley High and the most perfect specimen she has ever seen who has the ability to make her skin crawl in a most wonderful, blissful way, and she is just a simple librarian. Deciding to take a chance at the man she sports a crush, she heads out for a night on the town. Liam is not seeking to be with any woman, not having gone through a nasty divorce. Coming home and finding his wife in bed with a meter maid, and the guys at the station knowing about it, had left him a bachelor for the last two years. His only concern now is his job and his teenage son, Billy. When he eyes a beautiful woman that practically sends an electric shock through him, he suddenly desires her. Of course when they meet, Carol gives him a false identity. All she wishes is one night with him and all he wishes is one night with her, what could be wrong in that? One night of ecstasy leads too much more as the two discover they can’t get enough of each other. When the truth really comes out on Carol’s identity, she wonders will it cause a deep rift in their growing relationship.
One Night of Paradise certainly lives up to its name in this story of romance and electric chemistry that keeps the readers interest. The moment Carol and Liam make contact, fireworks explode and keep the pages smoking throughout the story. Anna Leigh Keaton inspires a breathtaking read that captivates the reader and has them clapping for joy for the two to make their connection a solid one. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between Liam and Carol along with their thoughts. I found both Liam and Carol most believable in their actions and the story an excellent read.
