Kent and Lindsey was a couple until he moved out and left her high and dry. He didn’t even explain except to say that he wasn’t what she needed. Now that she’d made it big in the world of comics, she was known as the Wicked Witch of Comics. Her assistant, Amy, tried to fill all the voids in her world as a top executive. Lindsey seldom attended these conventions anymore but her colleagues insisted. After all, it had been four years since Kent left.

Kent Farrington was a former fan favorite with the comics but his life had changed when he walked out on Lindsey. He decided that he would make himself into the man she needed. He didn’t realize until he faced her at the convention how badly he’d hurt her.

Lindsey never forgot the lessons she learned from Kent’s desertion. This made a fast-paced, poignant look into the sorrows of love gone badly. The position each was in at the time was perfect for a reunion, but Lindsey could never trust Kent again. Ms. Charlotte McClain created a great scenario which will captivate your imagination as it did mine.

The way in which this author played her characters into the plot was non-stop fun. Her players were strong yet vulnerable. The storyline was easy to follow and the ending was a surprise.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance. It’s great.
