When Lauren Delaney is offered a new job at the retirement home, it is a fantasy come true for her. She is beaming for joy after the interview and heads for her car, only to find it has been broken into, leaving her heartbroken. How could someone just break into her car and steal her possessions. After discovering the teenager who stole her items, she soon learns the young girl could use some motherly help. But when the dad steps in, complications arise when he begins to send a heated flame through Lauren’s body. Can she help the daughter when the father is stirring so much in emotion in her?

Craig Hightower has his hands full with his teenage daughter, Zoey, since his wife left him when she was a small child. Ever since then he keeps his guard when it comes to women. When Zoey is caught red handed with Lauren’s stolen items, she is sentenced to work at the retirement home. Craig begins to see a change in Zoey and he wonders if Lauren is the reason. He knows it will take a miracle for them to work out their relationship, but is he willing to give it a chance?

ONE SMALL SPARK is a great book with real life problems. A father afraid to love again, while dealing with raising a teenager, to a young woman who wishes to reach out to someone but is committed to her faith then discovers so much more in life when she meets Craig and Zoey. I really enjoyed how Lauren and Craig learned to be friends first before starting a growing relationship. The way they both had to deal with the problems that Zoey had to face made it an even better read. This is a good book with a promise of hope for everyone.

Ms. Chapman has created a tender book that captures the strings of the heart. This was a story that I couldn’t put down. Ms. Chapman takes you inside the characters and on an incredible journey in life that will leave you with a feel good feeling inside. This story leaves you with a lasting impression that you are not soon to forget.
