Every year on King Richard III's death, the Richard III Society's board of directors hold a seance to contact his spirit. Usually a medium directs and contacts the spirit, but this year she was unable to attend. So Annie Spooner, a board member, leads the group instead. The members were surprised when a life-like Richard stumbled into their midst. Annie soon found he was not a ghost but the real thing. He informed her he was not a King and he had been set upon by robbers and woke up here. In 1463, King Edward and his brother George were very concerned about the disappearance of their baby brother. They visit a wizard and find out where Richard went and how they could be reunited with him. So they too find their way to Annie's home.

I love the detail the author put into the past and present, making the story richer and more fulfilling. I found it very endearing that the king gave up his throne to be with his brother. Back then sometimes rivals were killed to ensure the throne. My favorite character was the wizard, sort of a bumbling magic man with an unusual story to tell. The story did drag slightly when they worked on the screenplay but I felt it still deserved its high rating.
