| Cass has been in love with Jake, her best friend's brother, for as long as she can remember. One hot night a few years ago, she and Jake finally acted on their feelings and Cass was left with a broken heart and a little present. Cass has returned to serve as a bridesmaid in her best friend's wedding and is horrified to find out that she will be paired up with Jake. All she can hope is that her crush has faded and that Jake won't find out about her secret.
When Jake first sees Cassie walking down the aisle, he knows that he can't let her go again like that night so long ago. Cassie has grown to be more beautiful then he can imagine, and if he couldn't resist her then he certainly can't now. Jake knows he was fool to give up what Cassie offered him, but he knows with a second change he can make it right. Although he is positive that Cassie is what he wants he only hopes that she is willing to give it another shot. Together they can't deny that their feelings are just as strong as five years ago, but will Cass eventually find the courage to tell Jake about her secret and will Jake trust Cassie enough to stay with her after all their cards are laid on the table? One Touch is an interesting story about past mistakes and present sacrifices. Jake is a strong hero who knows that he wants and is willing to work to make that happen. I enjoyed his love for Cassie although at times I felt it was a bit melodramatic in it's pendulum like intensity. Cassie is a woman who has worked hard to provide for herself and her daughter, despite her circumstances and I liked the way she stayed strong even throughout her feelings for Jake. Overall the characters were a bit stereotypical at times and the drama trite, however the emotion between them made this a sweet love story with some hot action.
