Eight years ago, the eighteen year old Sara was in love with Mike. Lies and deception tore them apart. Mike ran away and soon after Sara found that she was pregnant. With the help and support of her family, she got through a really tough time and started her own business. She is now a successful bakery owner in Green Bay, Wisconsin with a great seven year old son and a loving and supportive family. Still hurt by the past, she does not date, but is about ready to try again. Then, Mike's dad passes away and he comes back to town to settle his affairs, he is also assigned to follow a possible drug dealer in the local police department. The two hope to avoid each other but fate continues to bring them together, and their feelings for each other are still as strong as ever.

This is a very good love story with some great suspenseful twists in the plot. The characters are very well written, I felt like I knew each of Sara's brothers, son, and Uncle Luke. The two villains are creepy and sneaky. I enjoyed reading about the rekindling of the romance and Mike's budding relationship with his son. The setting of a small city works very well, particularly for Mike's undercover investigation. The police aspects of the story have a few inaccuracies, and this detracted a bit from the story, but the very strong love story more than made up for it for me.
