| Aurora Devereaux is a novice at her job at Immortality Incorporated. Having only been Fate for two years she still makes mistakes - some small, some huge. Her current problem is she performed an emergency time-stopping maneuver to help save a police officer from dying in a horrible crash. By saving this man, she may have prevented finding the cure for cancer; so not just one life was affected. Everything grand or inconsequential is linked, and Fate holds the key. It is too bad that due to her attempt at a good thing she caused quite a rift in time and may lose her job, her immortality, and all memories of her working at Immortality Inc. She would also lose the ability to see Nic, her heart-stopping crush, her boss and the Incarnation of Time.
Nic has a lot of problems himself and most of them can be summed up in one word - Aurora. Since becoming Fate, Aurora is not only seriously messing up, but she has gotten under his skin like no other incarnation has ever done. Time is not something to play with, and Nic is Time with all its benefits… and its drawbacks. Making a deal with Aurora seemed to be an easy thing. Aurora must work her magic and attempt to sway the officer and his family in the right direction, or Nic will use his authority to set back Time and she will lose her position as Fate. It all seemed so easy until Nic realized that nothing is easy when it comes to his relationship with Aurora. And that is when Fate and Time have to work together to save lives and the future. Can they save each other too? Ms. Warren did a superb job! Aurora is spunky, compassionate and strong. Nic is Time itself, unwavering and unyielding, until Aurora makes the scene that is. A Fun, fast-paced paranormal story. I recommend this to anyone, actually to everyone.
