Ericka Scott weaves a romantic tale full of suspense. The path filled with red herrings leads us from one hint to another as we work with Mia to figure out what happened to her ancestor. It gets even more complex when someone tries to poison Jake. That makes his involvement much more personal. Not only is he falling in love with Mia, he finds secrets of a family she never knew she had. At the same time we know a German spy is trying to dig out the secret of the latest military project. The author keeps the characters, dialogue and action moving quickly to the surprise ending.
