Mira and Ethan have been dating a while now and Ethan has begun taking the relationship for granted. More focused on work than Mira, Ethan gets a wakeup call from an unlikely source. Reserving a cabin in the woods for her birthday weekend, Ethan decides to make one of her fantasies a reality and invites her old boyfriend along for the fun. It helps that he knows Rogan from training together in the police academy and the Hostage Ops team in the past.

This is the second book in the H.O.T. Cops series. You don't have to read the first book, Bad Girl by Night, to enjoy this one. Lacey Alexander has always been a favorite author of mine, and this book enforces the many reasons why. Fluid writing, engaging characters, and an exciting story line prevail in this book. I really liked how the reader gets to see the plot through each character's thoughts. Mira is really a likable heroine without having to act extravagantly to attract a man's attention. She is smart, reliable, and willing to explore her sexuality with her boyfriend. Ethan might have made some mistakes but he goes all out to make it up to Mira, even going so far as to invite her old boyfriend along to make her fantasy a reality. He really showed his commitment to their relationship. Rogan added just enough roughness and excitement to the explicit sex scenes to lower Mira's inhibitions and make the reader like him and want him to have his own happily ever after. I thought the differences in the two men helped bring out Mira's sexuality and also helped each man know her better. The book takes place over a weekend but you won't need a whole weekend to read this one. Very quick paced, I found myself not putting it down at all! One warning, this book is extremely explicit, with M/F and M/F/M action. Once again, this author has penned an excellent read!
