The pages fly, the passion sizzles and the danger crackles with plot twists that will keep readers riveted page after page. The witty and often sharp-tongued dialog is a wonderful example of this author's outrageous brand of humor. The author depicts events and characters realistically, portraying life on the seas and aboard a pirate ship in a way that captures the reader's imagination. The chilling and intriguing sea battle adds a wildness of the untamed waters that will keep reader's on the edge of their seat. Ms. Carlton turns on the heat on her characters and readers are treated to passionate danger and potential treachery at every turn. Kit is a strong-willed and sassy spitfire of a woman whose character seems to burst to life at every turn. The sexy and tantalizing heroes James and Quinn are two men who insatiably and fiercely love Kit. These incredible characters are not only well developed but who continue to develop within the pages of the story. The sexual tension and simmering sensual heat between Kit and her men are a prelude to the scorching hot, passionate and playful bed play. The ménage is portrayed in a way that seems to demonstrate the bond that exists between the characters. The secondary characters are nicely developed and a wonderful addition to the story. Readers will be sorry to see this wonderful story come to a close.
