Emotionally stirring Rebecca is a compelling character that makes the readers believe that the story is real. Readers will be hooked early in the story but as the story progresses the mystery and suspense builds to a point readers will not be able to set it aside till the end. This story will take readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions such as shock and uncertainty. Readers will find themselves on the verge of tears as it all seems lost then things turn around and another surprise is waiting. This very creative story does not lead to predictability and readers will enjoy this fact. The romance is fascinating between a pirate from 1692 and a twenty first century woman. Jonas has a story that in itself is amazing. He does not act like a pirate until he sees that is necessary. Their romance is sensual from the very beginning. There is definitely chemistry between the two characters. The two end up falling in love before they even realize it themselves. This leads to sadness because Rebecca always believes she will return to the future without Jonas. The Pirate’s Dark Revenge by Lorraine Kennedy is a wonderful story for its originality and creativity. Readers will find themselves tossed to and fro on a stormy sea of adventure.
