In this anthology each author tells a story of the matches and mismatches made by the Paranormal Mates Society (PMS.)
In Insomnia Kira Stone puts together two mates, both of whom put other partners to sleep just by talking. Ms. Stone gives us great fun as two men turn a place for nocturnal dreaming upside down whenever they touch.. Ann Jacobs gives us O Positive. A dominant vampire who often has to hide from his domineering mother finds love in Erica, a true submissive who has trouble keeping her fangs under control. Tony's mother Magdalene steals the show several times. She has the submissives at Tony's BDSM haven quaking in their boots. Amelia Elias tells us of the stormy relationship between Thera, a Fury, and Ares, the God of War in Loving Fury. Thera’s two sisters add a lot of fun to the story. Playing with Matches is Cat Marsters' contribution to the tales. When the gods are unhappy with the pairings the Society makes all sorts of threats fly. Ceyx doesn’t realize how much he’ll come to care for Nerissa when he turns the matches into mismatches. Isabella Jordan continues the tale of Carter and Grace from Vol. 2 that left us with an unsolved murder. Friend Spencer falls in love with Helen, Grace’s replacement at the Thoth agency and they manage to help solve the murder of Francesca Woods in The Midnight Hour. I was somewhat disappointed with Vol. 2 of this series but Vol. 3 is great fun. The main and secondary characters are well developed and don’t leave me hanging, waiting for a sequel. In The Midnight Hour I finally get completion for a murder in the previous work. And, in Insomnia, we get a much more fulfilling picture of the god Pe-Ben. These tales are full of fun and great eroticism. There’s plenty of tongue in cheek humor as minor gods, satyrs and others try to mess with the Paranormal Mates Society computers to their detriment. Or sometimes their messing around leads them to their mate. This is well worth the read and will probably leave you with a smile on your face.
