Danielle Karr didn't think life could get any worse after the death of her parents. That is, until she has to go in hiding from her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy Stone, who had embezzled $250,000 dollars from the company, she worked for and was suspected of murder. Dani couldn't believe she had been so gullible. She goes to the one place she feels safe, Karr's Port, her parents home in Florida.

Hugh Anderson is the owner of Shangri-La Trailer Court. Hugh is also an ex-cop and he knew as soon as he saw Dani that she was trouble with a capital T. It doesn't take long for Hugh to figure out that Dani is in deep trouble and needs all the help he can give and maybe Hugh will catch the killer in the only murder investigation he couldn't close.

Dani believes she covered her tracks and is safe for the moment, until a box of white Roses arrives at her new job. That is the killer's signature and Dani is sure Jeremy has found her. Dani goes to Hugh for protection, but is that all she wants from him? Although burnt badly by Jeremy, Dani finds that she can't stop thinking about Hugh and just how sexy he is.

Hugh wasn't looking for a relationship with Dani. One bad marriage had taught him all he wanted to know about women. So why is it he can't get Dani out of his mind? Hugh didn't want to let Dani in his life, but fate stepped in and now all he can think about is keeping Dani safe.
