| While Jaxon Law and his troop went to war and fought for their country, they found out in a horrific way that things weren't at all what they seemed. They were when they were turned into four-legged wolves. From then on, they were able to turn into an alpha pack which took some getting used to. When they got back home, they fought the evil and the ghastly horrors that showed up at a shocking rate.
Kira wanted to know the truth about certain things she saw at the place where she worked. She stole information but didn't know what to do with it. Jaxon discovers Kira's in danger from a couple of big guys in suits who are following her and ready to do her harm. He feels an attraction to her. Seeing as Kira has a way of calming and taming the wild animals, because of her actions, she became a member of the alpha. This is almost a novel of the adventures of the third kind. Humans, extraterrestrial and fictional -- or are they? This novel brings about many facets of the unknown bringing with it, our thoughts and a sense of logic that makes sense. The alpha paced pack is very believable and hunk like you'd expect from a group of soldiers who is well trained. The twists and turns bring us into a world that is so unique it made me wonder of how many more books could possibly be written along with this one. There are several in the alpha group you can feel a pace that is so intense you can sense the alpha emanating from them. You can feel their pain, and wonder at the sense of kinship when they are on patrol as well as on base. You can almost sense the prowling around one another in tense moments. The ferocious moments are extremely intense. This novel really kept me on my toes. I really liked reading it.
