Colleen is a quiet, conservative and shy librarian. During a 'girl's night out' with her friend Hannah, she admits that just once she would like to become familiar with ecstasy like the heroines in the novels she reads. Hannah, who is not shy or conservative, decides Colleen should go to a costume party at her ex-boyfriend's place and gets her the so-called costume and make-up. She almost doesn't go, but after a glass of wine and a lot of green, flavored paint she does.

Dan has been best friends with Rob, the host of the party, and is only there because his friend really wants him to get out more, preferable with a woman. Dan is a widower who just hasn't felt much since his wife died. He sees Colleen enter, take her coat off showing a green, naked body and is transfixed. He goes to her. They are immediately captivated by each other.

Ms. Below had me from the first page! Wow, this was SO romantic and sweet! I loved how kind (and hot) Dan was. While Colleen had her moments of uncertainty, she was a great heroine. She may have thought herself the frog, but Dan and the other characters didn't. I was so pleased Ms. Below didn't write her as a frog too. This is such a great story, I'm so happy I read it! I am definitely looking for more from Ms. Below since this was so good!
