CJ Bowman is a man on a mission. After learning that his ex, Abby, is going undercover to take down the man responsible for his supposed death, he's decided to leave the safety of witness protection and help.

I really enjoyed the start of this book and how it opened with such emotion from the heroine's perspective that it bought a few tears to my eyes. The plot was well written, and provided a lot of suspense along the way for both main characters. The dialogue was a bit intense at times with so many secondary characters trying to coax Abby out of her grief in different ways. The sex scenes were good, but I thought could have had a lot more spice to them because it seemed Abby and CJ had been through so much. What I liked so much about both characters is that they would do anything for the one they loved, even going to such dangerous extremes to take down such an evil man.

Overall, this book was a good read and has made me eager to read the others set before this one. Well done, Ms. Atkins.
