With the closing of the last page of Relentless, I found myself truly speechless both as a reader and a reviewer with this breathtaking and heart-wrenching story. Once again, Ms. Dane brilliantly transports her reading audience to the fascinating and turbulent Federated Universes with this tale of complex political intrigue and scorching hot sexual desires. The emotional pitch alone in this book is delectable but by adding the powerfully yummy rip-the-clothes-off sexual thrills and the danger of political reality, this is a story the reader will savor and enjoy long after they close the book. The reader will be swept away by the dynamic characterization of Roman and Abbie. Roman is a commanding, noble, and sexy hero -- a true knight in shining armor. Passionate, determined, and beautiful, Abbie has risen from a tragedy to become a strong and powerful voice for the unranked. The secondary characters are all a delight and not only work well to shape the each delightful scene but also help the reader to understand the life that Abbie and Roman have led before they come together. Ms. Dane is a master storyteller who always seems to strive, leaving no stone unturned as her remarkable story comes full circle wrapping up to book that is destined for every reader's keeper shelf. When I read the last page of this book, I was amazed to find a few tears running down my cheeks along with a grin of delight on my face. Readers will be sorry to see this book come to a close. I look forward to another chapter in the Federation Universes next year!
