| Riley Ames is a botanist and looks forward to the research project. She has excellent qualifications. More importantly she would rather be in the field not in a lab. If accepted, it will require her to stay at a primitive site for an extended amount of time. Nothing would thrill her more than be chosen for this adventure. Nathan Collins has survived in the land for five years, but it has been lonely. The only companion has been his dog, Demon. Thanks to another experiment, Nathan won’t be alone much longer after Riley is propelled back into time to join him. She is like no other woman he has met. Of course she finds it hard to believe she has gone back into time, 40,000 years ago. When she realizes Nathan is telling the truth, she does not wish to be left alone. As their journey takes them on many hardships of survival, she feels Nathan is her safety net as they form a deepening bond. Once the project is over, will Riley desire to return home or has she found her home with Nathan?
I pondered if I had ever read a book or watched a movie that took me this far back into time and though a movie might hit the memory, it was nothing compared to the premise of the remarkable journey that this book takes its readers. P.L. Parker creates a world in Riley’s Journey, as if she were sent back in time to capture it all and put it down on paper. This imaginative story captivates with thrills and excitement that spin with every turn of the page. As the storyline with Riley and Nathan unfold, it is an experience that grips the reader as they try every way to find a survival pattern to keep them from any danger. This is a smashing good story with excellent writing. When is the movie?
