Rod Levine is one of four candidates in line for a job at a prestigious law firm. He really wants the position but he also wants Jinks Jessop, one of the other candidates. Their relationship has been running hot and cold, leaving Rod a bit clueless on where they stand. It would be dream of a lifetime to get the job and his man.

I expected more of a rivalry after reading the author's blurb and especially in regard to the title. What we get is a decent, uncomplicated story of two men working together and falling in love. The characters are likeable in a lukewarm plot that has its ups and downs. There is minimal angst and the usual male loving to push the story along. It was like words on a page for me as it didn't engage me fully. I looked forward to reading this one because it sounded like a really good read, it just didn't live up to my expectation. A fair read to pass the time.
