| Jenny went to work at Clark Memorial Hospital to relieve her good friend Liz who had worked the previous 12-hour shift. Liz immediately pulled her away from the crowd to fill her in on their newest patient. Ian McAllister, lead singer for the rock group Escape had been in an accident on the stage last night. He had broken his arm and it required surgery. Jenny had been at the concert and saw him fall. He had, however, endured the pain until the end of the concert and then was taken to the hospital. He was moved to Jenny's floor at 3 am. When Jenny came in at 7 am, Liz knew she needed to get that room assigned to Jenny's roster.
Jenny was a loaner who had given up on men. Her pastime, for the last many years, had been attending Escape concerts which were within driving range of her hometown. She knew almost all there was to know about her hero. When they talked during her shift, he remembered her from the front row last night. He was captivated with her beauty and, though he had been celibate for the past six months, felt that now was his time to take another chance on a relationship. Ms. Melody Lane has written a great novel which is packed with compelling information about rockers and the ones who love them. The fact that the British group traveled extensively across the States did not allow for great connections between band members and fans. This author penned this book in such a manner that it seemed as if she absolutely understood the angles and problems associated with such a relationship. Her characters were great in dealing with each other as well as the conflicts which occurred. The sexual scenes were hot and explicit. They did not, however, take away from the great storyline written here. It is definitely a book that readers will love, regardless of favorite genres. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
