| Brynn used to have a normal life with some sort of autonomy. She also believed that things like werewolves did not exist. Well, now she knows differently, her sister is now a werewolf and her kidnappers have not given up on taking her. She feels weaker than she ever has in her life and wishes that she could have her old life back, but leaving her sister behind is not an option. She also does not want to leave Joe behind. Joe feels the same about her, but is afraid that he can not keep her safe in the troubled times ahead. Brynn knows that her best bet is to become one of them, but she has to convince them that that is what she really wants.
This is one of the most engrossing series I have read recently. Ms. Rogers has created memorable characters and placed them in an exciting plot that will leave you at the edge of your seat throughout most of the story. Bryn is a great character, the younger sister of an alpha shewolf who is determined to cocoon her to keep her safe. Brynn is tougher than that. The equally protective Joe is a tougher nut to crack, but he is as in love with her as she is with him and he soon realizes how strong her will is. The escalating werewolf war adds excitement and suspense to an already great plot and I enjoyed the continuation of Abby and Keith's story as well. Brynn and Joe are two characters that will stay with you long after you have finished reading the story. I can't wait to see what happens next.
