The Pirate and the Pussycat by Lacey Alexander
Leah had met Patrick at last year’s Halloween party and thought they shared an instant attraction. However, Patrick never called her, and she has been brokenhearted ever since. Now it’s Halloween again and her friend, Tracy, has convinced her she needs one night of hot sex with a stranger to cure her of Patrick. So Leah dresses extremely sexily and attends Tracy’s Halloween party.

This story is super hot while at the same time very enlightening in that we experience how seductive and intriguing living out a fantasy can be. Leah’s confidence in herself as she plays out her fantasy is erotic and makes this short story an excellent read.

Panther’s Pleasure by Cathryn Fox
As Sash’s ship nears the planet Earth, she physically becomes more ill with symptoms like itchy feverish skin. Having a drink at the docking station bar, she feels the need to follow the gorgeous man that just walked out, but the further she gets the more the pain increases. Suddenly, the man, Kade, appears behind her and the pain decreases. What is going on?

Scorching hot and a must read if you like kick-butt heroines who are not afraid to take what they need, and mucho alpha heroes who know just how to treat their mate!

On Her Back by Renee Luke
Elijah is back from war, the same war that claimed the life of Simone’s brother. Simone knows she loves Elijah the way a woman loves a man, but she is prepared to just be whatever he needs as he recuperates from his war injuries as well as dealing with the death of his Mami and his friend. They both fall headfirst into sex and Simone wanders just how much is a release for Elijah and how much he really cares for her.

A blazing hot quick read that barely touches on the feelings experienced by war veterans and their families.

I Was an Alien’s Love Slave by Charlene Teglia
Micki desperately needs some inspiration for her next book, and standing outside the bar one night, she wishes for her own hero. Waking up later that night to a bright light shining in her eyes and a feeling of weightlessness, she wonders just what is happening to her.

Brings new meaning to the phrase, “Be careful what you wish for”. This story promises lots of sexual tension, and then delivers it tenfold.

Sunshine for a Vampire by N. J. Walters
Totally different from all the other vampires, including those in her family, Sunshine is nevertheless happy with who she is. She has a few close friends and doesn’t mix socially with the other vampires unless necessary. Such was the case the night she met Silvestru. He literally swept her off her feet. Sunshine decided to have sex with him, but not exchange names.

This author never fails to deliver an excellent story that touches your heart while heating your body!

A Man of Vision by Kate Willoughby
With a career as a mistress, Delphine comes to Cristoforo with a one month contract, receiving an unusually large salary since his schedule is erratic and he is highly sexual. As their time together passes, Delphine develops feelings for him and decides she must leave. But Cristoforo is not in the best of health, and Delphine wonders if she can really leave him when he is not at his best.

A slightly different approach to romance, this author pulls this off with the focus on the reasons for the sex. Seeing the romance blossom into deeper feelings is just the icing on the cake.

With such a great lineup of authors, this anthology is surely able to please the most discriminating reader. I enjoyed all the stories and look forward to reading more by some of the new to me authors.
