Good Girl Gone Bad by Dominique Sinclair
Regan and Luke are engaging characters, their story bursts into flames right from the beginning! Regan finally gets a chance to write a feature assignment and heads for the bookstore for research material. A chance encounter with Luke, the object of her secret fantasies, sparks both her passion and some very creative writing. Luke offers to teach her everything she needs to know about sex, but has no idea his lessons are the theme of Reagan’s articles. What will happen when lust turns to love and secrets are revealed?
Aphrodite’s Passion by Jess Michaels
Gavin is a man returning from war who wants to complete his personal duty to a fallen comrade and find a little peace. He had no idea that his former Commander’s stepchildren would send him on a wild goose chase half-way back around the world again. But Selena is not the hysterical woman they portrayed her to be. On Cyprus in the sex-cult Temple of Aphrodite, Selena and Gavin find an age old answer to questions of sensuality that defies all the rules. The settings are rich and vibrant, but the characters physical and emotional love story is the star of this erotic tale!
White Heat by Lynn Wyndfield
Walker has escaped a burning prison and finds shelter in an icehouse with a woman who is hiding because there is a contract out for her death throughout the universes. They find it’s a small universe when they realize the same man is responsible for both of their problems! Healing, passion, revenge and love are all mixed up but will be part of Raine and Walkers’ fate. This is an amazing tale with quite a lot of action and suspense delivered in an absorbing way for a story that mostly takes place inside a frozen igloo. Raine and Walkers’ passions quite literally could melt the whole shelter but this lusty bonding is just the tip of the iceberg. White Heat is an excellent futuristic with unique settings, intriguing plot twists and vibrant characters!
Summer Lightning by Saskia Walker
Sally has escaped the frantic city pace for a much needed holiday at a secluded seaside cottage. She is relaxing on the deserted beach when she sees a gorgeous naked man wading into the surf. He inspires her to begin sculpting something quite different than the little figurines she has done previously. Julian is a scientist who has a passion for the pristine environment of the cove and shoreline he patrols. When he meets Sally their attraction is lightening fast and just as powerful as a summer storm. This is a wonderful Secrets’ debut that celebrates the classic holiday romance theme but supports it with fresh scenery and the engaging personalities of Julian and Sally.
Secrets, Volume 12 is an excellent collection of very passionate romances, there is something for everyone in this volume. Each steamy short story is amazingly well crafted and entertaining to read, no matter what your favorite genre may be normally. The characters have depth and the plots are full of interesting details that will keep your attention. This showcase of the styles of Dominique Sinclair, Jess Michaels, Lynn Wyndfield and Saskia Walker will have readers looking for more of their work! This is a fine addition to the Secrets anthology series that I predict will find a place on many keeper shelves.
