In Lone Wolf Three, Rae Monet introduces Lakota Blackson who has been sent as a mediator to settle a dispute over lands on planet Elnar. She is to meet with Elnar's leader, Taban Zias. Taban is resistant to someone interferring in his methods of running his world. Reack, Taban's second in command, has insisted that this mediator is needed to quiet the fighting going on over the land rights on Elnar. Tired of all the bickering, Taban goes on a camping trip to get a much needed break. Not to be thrown to the side and ignored, Lakota tracks Taban down and will not leave him until they discuss the issues at hand. Taban comes to realize through their time spent alone together that Lakota is much more than just a mediator for his world. She is his mate. Taban must convince her of his love and fight off the dark forces that threaten their future. Lone Wolf Three is threaded throughout with emotionally charged moments. Lakota and Taban fit well together and their efforts to accustome each other to their different worlds is done in a believeable way. The characters are enhanced by the threat around them and are a good match. Taban has a lot of issues being the leader of his world and Lakota adds a bit of peace to his otherwise chaotic life. The threat to their lives is developed well and leaves the reader guessing until the very end. A well written tale of love with the right amount of erotic spice added in. Flesh to Fantasy by Larrissa Ione puts the reader in the closed off world of Kelsa Bradshaw. Kelsa is a computer game reviewer and very much a loner limiting her interaction with the outside world. Into her shielded world comes her neighbor, Trent Jordan. He is an easy going paramedic facinated by Kelsa whom he sees on her balcony when he goes in the pool. Kelsa wants nothing to do with Trent and goes to great lengths to repel him. Not giving up easily, Trent attempts to bring Kelsa out of her fantasy world and into the real one with role-playing sex and promises of real pleasures, not virtual. Kelsa must take the cautious first steps towards reality if she wants a future with Trent. Trent realizes this will not be easy for Kelsa once he knows her secrets. He only hopes his love is enough to convince her to stay in the here and now. Kelsa and Trent are two characters that heat up the pages in this story. The pain Kelsa feels in the real world is understandable once things about her are revealed. Although it moves at a fast pace, this tale is full of erotic scenes and emotional moments. The characters play off each other well and Ms. Ione does a wonderful job fleshing them out. The mystery revolving around Kelsa and why she ended up the way she did in life is written in a believable way. This is a hard one to put down once you start it. Linda Gayle's Heart Full of Stars is a tale about a singer named Fanta Rae who is trying to escape her past. In an attempt to gain freedom, Fanta Rae flees the alien slave trader, Tirrell. Thinking she has paid her debt to Tirrell Fanta Rae ends up stranded on a Mars outpost. There she encounter's Alex Decker. Alex has his own past sorrows. This ex-Marine has spent a long time in isolation to escape the guilt he feels over his past. When he meets Fanta Rae Alex's world is turned upside down. When alien hit men come looking to take Fanta Rae back to Tirrell, Alex does everything in her power to protect her even if that means facing the past and moving forward. Gayle's alien world is ripe with sexual tension and mystery. Fanta Rae is a singer looking to get back to Earth and start a new life. Fanta Rae doesn't expect to find love with Alex Decker. Alex is caught off guard when Fanta Rae comes into his life. The element of danger to Fanta Rae through Tirrell adds to the heat of this great story. Alex and Fanta Rae must make hasty decisions about their immediate situation and the future. Seeing them work their way through these situations is one lure of this story. The erotic scenes are tastefully done throughout. This tale will keep you on the edge of your seat and you won't want it to end. The Wolf's Mate by Cynthia Eden brings us back into the world of werewolves. Michael Morlet comes upon Katherine "Kat" Hardy being accosted in an alley and scares the thugs away. Immediately Michael senses Kat is his mate. Being a werewold adds to the delicate handling of the situation. He doesn't want to scare Kat off. Kat is running from her past and has come to Shellsville to start over. When her life is threatened repeatedly, Kat decides it's time to move on again. Michael refuses to let Kat go and will do everything in his power to protect his mate. Convincing Kat that she's his future will take a lot of finesse and coaxing on his part. The danger is around every corner just waiting to get to Kat. This is a enticing read filled with mystery, danger, and erotic scenes. Kat and Michael are meant to be and Michael will not back down concerning his mate. Making Kat understand her role in his future is a delicate area for Michael. He doesn't want to scare her off, but must make her realize her importance in his world. Kat is scared and senses something is different about Michael. She doesn't believe a man as gorgeous as Michael would be interested in her for a night let alone a lifetime. The climax of this story is a riviting one and not to be missed. Michael must use whatever tools he has to convince Kat she's the chosen mate for him and that it's for life. Readers will find this a hard story to put down filled with passion and suspense.
