Mare-Nicole Ryan has a winner here! It is an excellent novel with lots of everything. The plot is fast-paced. It really draws you in and takes you for a wild ride through Texas. The characters are all wonderful. Star is a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go get it. She is easy to like with a personality that is pleasant to read. She stays the same person through out the whole novel, even when facing trouble. Cord is one sexy lawman. He has seen hard times and it just makes you want to kiss him and make it all better for him. The characters spoke like true Texans which just made it eaiser get caught up in Cord and Star's story. The whole novel was creative and well-written. Their relationship comes easy, but there is still plenty of action. I think this is a great book and if you like some good cowboy romance this is for you!
