In this third book in the Karmic Consultants series, a mischief demon has decided to wreak havoc with a wedding. The only person able to keep the wedding on track is Brittany Hylton-VanDeere, the new secretary with a never-ending supply of optimism. But now that she's taken over the wedding planning, she's become a target for the demon. Luis Rodriguez, the sexy exorcist plagued by bored housewives scheduling exorcisms in an attempt to seduce him, is tasked with protecting her and banishing the demon. Being thrown together means dealing with temptation without losing focus or the demon might just succeed.

When Luis and Brittany first encounter one another in Karma's office at Karmic Consultants, it seems almost impossible that they would get together. Theirs is truly a story of opposites attracting, though. Rodriguez embodies the essence of what it means to be a bad boy with his tattoos and his Harley and Brittany is the queen of good girls. But they are not simply one dimensional characters and the author does a wonderful job of showing the many facets of their personalities throughout the story. Though Brittany is sure Rodriguez is The One as soon as she sees him, she falls harder for him when she sees the softer side he exposes outside of Karmic Consultants. Likewise, what Rodriguez learns about Brittany during the time they spend together, especially everything she has overcome in her past, draws him to her and proves she's more than just an eternal optimist.

The plot is well written and forces Brittany and Luis together so they can discover what lies below the surface as they explore their inexplicable attraction to each other. Not even the cold water they get doused with multiple times is enough to cool the heat between the two of them. Sparks fly whenever they're together and only get hotter once they give in to their attraction. This is a completely pleasurable, well written story full of humor and wit with a very satisfying ending.
