The last thing Shannon Riedel is expecting is to have a gun shoved in her face, but it's exactly what does happen when a madman attacks her claiming her deceased husband swindled him. When an FBI agent arrives to investigate, Shannon doesn't know whether she can trust him or not.

FBI agent Tony Crazaniak is a man on a mission, and can't help but offer to protect Shannon Riedel, a woman who has been attacked by a madman in her own office building. Yet protecting her could put them both at risk, as Tony faces off with the very terrorist he's vowed to take revenge on for something that happened in the past.

The plot of this tale was fast-paced and powerful, and started off by drawing me as a reader into the heart of the story with a vulnerable heroine that doesn't have any idea what the madman wants with her except that it has something to do with swindling and her dead husband. The dialogue was captivating in illustrating what the heroine will do to prove her dead husband's innocence and how the hero will do everything to protect her, even putting his own life at risk. The sex scenes were great, although I thought with all the chemistry between the hero and heroine that they would have happened a lot sooner but never mind as they were worth it in the end. What I liked so much about Shannon was her determination and the lengths she was willing to go to in proving that her dead husband didn't do the things the bad people were accusing him of. While with Tony, I liked his protective nature and his ability to focus on the job even though his attraction to Shannon compromised him a tad. As the rule goes for protecting a witness, never let your heart get involved.

In conclusion, I believe that this author has done a great job penning this tale and I can't wait to read more of their work in the future.
