| Jordan Blake had a great life until his parents were arrested for murder and the family business he was working for went bankrupt. Also, he's in deep trouble after being arrested for assault and the only way he can fight the charge is by doing unpaid work for his lawyer to help him reopen the man's Mountainside resort in exchange for legal representation.
Lexie Sinclair was once a Hollywood wild child. Then she changed her name and has been good at hiding who she is until someone new enters her life, and her past comes back to haunt her. Now not only is Jordan interrupting her life, but so are her deceased husband's friends who want something that could put her in danger. Shadowed Trust was another exceptional read by this author. It had everything a book I enjoy in a romantic suspense -- lots of romance and plenty of suspense. The plot and dialogue were both great, and was easy to follow because both Jordan and Lexie were dealing with personal issues that lots of people can relate to. The sex scenes were hot, as the sexual tension between these two was there from the beginning and just kept growing as the book progressed until they couldn't take it anymore. What I liked so much about Jordan was his determination to help Lexie with whatever situation she was dealing with, even though he knew nothing about it until she eventually admitted the truth. While with Lexie, I liked that she didn't want to involve Jordan in her problems because she cared too much about him to see him get hurt. Overall, this was a good book and I can't wait to see if there are more of books to add to this series in the future, although both Jordan and his twin, Justin, have had their stories told. Well done, Ms. Netzel.
