But what the rogue wolf needed Rik to do was grovel and Rik was not about to give him the satisfaction. To prevent a war from brewing and finding his mate was human, Rik would find his hands full of werewolves on the hunt to take over the streets and a mate whom he needed to keep safe from his enemies.

Ms. Wilder gives us another book from her Shadow Hunter series. It is fantastic and wildly erotic read. In this story we meet Rik who although retired, will face a deadly enemy who would stoop to any level to succeed in his quest for power. I found Rik to be the perfect match for Charlene, who needed someone to love her for herself and show her just how beautiful a person she really was inside and out. He made Charlene his number one priority and that showed the kind of person he really was deep inside. Charlene would find herself loved thoroughly like she had never before experienced. The passionate and kinky exploits she and Rik got into were exciting and enjoyable. After all, cats do like to play, and as a cat shifter Rik showed Charlene what it was to be shifters mate.
