| Cajun Heat by Celeste Anwar Yvette is tired of not being taken seriously in her pursuit of a reporting job. When an opportunity to stake out a supposed sex slave cabin came her way, she decided to go for it. Getting caught wasn’t her plan, but she quickly decided her story would be even better from an insider’s point of view. After all, Jake, her captor, was seriously good looking, better than any man she knew. For Jake, Yvie created a huge problem. Was she a test, or really just lost in the woods? Ms. Anwar has written a great story based on a topic that unfortunately really exists in our world. She touches on the atrocities committed against enslaved women, but the main focus is on Jake and Yvie and how their relationship progresses. Instant attraction on both parts mixed with doubt because they are not sure just who the other person really is.
Underneath It All by Alicia Sparks This story will tug at your heartstrings while heating up your emotions. Ms. Sparks’ makes it easy to relate to the feelings of both the hero and heroine. You get to meet Emma’s family and while they do not take over the story, just enough is known about them to hope their story will be told soon.
Blood Feud by Kimberly Zant The many similarities between the two Beau’s make Jillian question whether they are related. It going to take getting to know them better to find her answers, and Jillian has no problem with that. All three stories were well written with plots that made it difficult to put down the book. If you like alpha heroes that know how to treat a lady, and heroines who know how to take what they want, this book will be perfect for you.
