Levi broke Arabella’s heart eight years ago when he married another woman. Now by a mere coincidence she has stumbled back into his path. Levi is in a tight spot. He owes the bank some money and his children need a momma. When Arabella sees Levi again she feels compelled to lend a hand but is unwilling to risk her heart again on the man she has always loved. Will Levi tell her the truth about what happened all those years ago and can Arabella open her heart again?

This story left much to be desired. The characters felt underdeveloped and really needed more depth. A good villain would have made the plot juicier. Also, I wished there was more interaction between the two main characters. The inspiration behind the story held much promise but the follow though was not substantial enough to engage the reader. Mitchell’s writing was fluid and easy to read. I really wanted more of everything.
