Angela is trying to come up with a serum that will diagnose blood diseases in their early stages, of course her mother died from a blood disease so this is very important to her. She is fed up when the man she works for takes credit for her work and she quits. After she leaves, she is kidnapped and has no idea why. She escapes and is saved by Stephan only to be kidnapped again by him. It seems he wants her to reproduce her serum in his lab and maybe they can find out who is after her? Of course the sparks start to fly and she just can't resist Stephan's sensual pull. This story is jam packed with action and mystery and Stephan is the perfect vampire with a cowboy persona. Angela is a little wimpy at times and is prone to loud crying, but once you get past that she makes a pretty good heroine. The mystery of the serum and what it does makes a very interesting plot and readers will be enthralled to the very end. Brenda Bryce is a very talented author who has created a book that will have readers looking for the next book in the series.
