| Sophie Sinora and her two best friends AJ Dawson and Krysta Richards, are teenagers with unusual talents that they don’t want anyone else to know about. It is the fact that they each have these abilities that brought them together in the first place. But now as they are entering high school and really noticing boys their abilities seem to be getting stronger and maybe their control over their powers is improving too. Sophie has recently lost a lot of weight and isn’t comfortable in her own skin yet but she is ready for a boy she thinks is cute to notice. Will Sophie be able to deal with her talent and boys and survive the usual pitfalls of being an American teenager?
This is a cute young adult story. The three girls and especially Sophie are typical teenagers with a little extra; they have paranormal abilities that would set them aside as freaks if anyone knew it. I love the premise of this series and this first book lived up to my expectations. Sophie is a sweet girl that I’d love to meet in real life. I am looking forward to reading her friend’s stories too as this series continues. If I had a teenage daughter, I would happy for her to read this story. I do think the story is targeted to the teen girl market and that my son would not enjoy it. If you like cute young adult fiction or know a teenage girl, you will find this story charming with a twist!
