| Kathryn Graham is not in the holiday spirit. It died with her childhood and she feels it would take a miracle for that feeling to return. She is glad in only twelve more days it will finally be over until another year. Now she is receiving little gifts, each day, from a Secret Santa which piques her curiosity. As a reporter, Kathryn takes her work seriously. Nick Pringle, her co-worker and good friend, is easy going, always giving her a helping hand. He is thrilled about the Christmas Season. He can tell something is bothering Kathryn as she struggles over the whole holiday event. He would love to help her over the holidays to feel the excitement and the flow that makes it so special. When a new gift arrives each day, while she and Nick begin working on a story about a toy drive together, it appears that the Secret Santa is making a huge impression on Kathryn. Each gift seems to intrigue Kathryn, and with each passing day, she wants to find out the identity of her Secret Santa and just jump into his arms. Nick wants to tell Kathryn his true feelings but it is hard to share how he feels with her negativity about the holiday season. Now if Nick can just tell her the truth, it could turn out to be the best Christmas ever.
The Spirit of Christmas jumped from the pages and straight to my heart. It was like watching two lovable characters on the big screen. Nick’s love for Kat swims within every page, every eye contact and just being in the room with her. Kat has issues that she has put a barrier around and she needs someone understanding to break down that barrier and open her heart again. Cindy K. Green sketches a moving story that grabs and doesn’t let go even after the story is over. Nick and Kat maybe sharing the holiday season, but it doesn’t matter because this is one romance that lives on everyday in one’s heart. Thanks Ms. Green for penning a most charming read.
