This sizzling hot novella is told in entirely in Jack's POV making it a rather interesting story to read. However, personally I kept wondering what was going on in Carman's head. Jack has a dangerous profession one that has stopped him from having a steady relationship. But the desire he feels for Carman after hearing her conversation, breaks his control with overwhelming results.

The loves scenes are extremely well orchestrated and ooze power. Jack is loving, caring, and sweet in his domination of Carman, which contradicts the aura of danger that surrounds him. But together makes him a wonderful character. There is nothing extreme and even those who normally wouldn't read BDSM wouldn't be uncomfortable. It is a wickedly arousing story that is definitely worth reading.
