Lawyers in Love: Eye of the Storm by Ann Jacobs

Five years ago Marcy Kramer had decided that loving Sam was not worth the pain it caused. Ending her marriage with a coldly civil divorce, Marcy convinced herself that all she needed from a man was a hard body and set out to prove it to herself and Sam with a series of meaningless flings.

Although they have encountered each other at various Tampa social functions, it is always been with a date on their arm. The simmering desire between Marcy and Sam is given a second chance when they run into each other without dates at a mutual friend's wedding.

Immediately following the ceremony, everyone must evacuate the barrier island on which the wedding is taking place due to a approach of Hurricane Katrina. When it is discovered that Marcy was left behind in the last minute rush to leave, Sam immediately heads back to rescue her.

Sam and Marcy are the loves of each other's lives and neither has forgotten it but there is a lot heartache and resentment standing between them. Caught together in a moment of fear and uncertainty in the eye of the storm, the embers of passion between Marcy and Sam immediately ignite. Sometimes a crisis can bring two people back together but when the storm clears will Marcy and Sam be able to work through the pain and misunderstanding and recommit to a lasting relationship

Another of Ms. Jacobs Lawyers in Love series, she has brought together two wonderful characters with a lot of baggage to work through. The passion and emotional connection between Sam and Marcy adds fantastic intensity. The tale showcases Ms. Jacobs's marvelous ability to create plenty of heat for a stormy night.

Savage Storm by Vonna Harper

The light skinned slave, Maddie, rushes out into the ocean during a hurricane to find freedom from her Master and his cruel desire. Even when the drowning death she wants to find almost claims her, she makes one last attempt to stretch out and save herself from the stormy grave. Seeing an island in the distance, she swims and fights to live or die as Alika, the name bestowed upon her not by her Master but by a fellow slave.

Seminole warrior, Yahola, had gone to Soul Island to commune with his spirit guide, Panther. While praying to the hurricane gods, he spots a woman struggling in the surf. Believing she is a sign, Yahola plunges into the stormy sea to save the unknown woman.

Yahola is immediately attracted to the beautiful young woman but Alika has been through a lot of pain and must learn to trust Yahola before she can find any joy or pleasure in a relationship.

During Yahola's sojourn on Soul Island, he had established a tangible connection with Panther and felt they were one spirit. Yahola begins to loose touch with his spirit as the desire and love between him and Alika develops. Is there enough room for both Alika and the spirit Panther in Yohola's life?

Savage Storm is a wonderful historical tale with a little paranormal addition. Details of Yahola's Seminole beliefs and way of life add richness to the tale. Ms. Harper has created two strong well-developed characters with fantastic passion.

Time Storm by Samantha Winston

Heather was devastated when Ian, the older boy next-door she has always loved, was tragically lost while sailing during a storm. Unbeknownst to Ian, he was Heather's first lover. The night before he left home for good Heather snuck into Ian's room and seduced him.

Ten years later Heather is still unable to put Ian behind her and decides to visit the island where Ian was lost to lay his ghost to rest. Taking her own boat out sailing, Heather gets washed overboard in a mysterious storm that turns out to be no ordinary hurricane. Heather is rescued by what she thinks is a tourist tour, outfitted like an 18th Century pirate ship. But when she meets the ship's captain he looks remarkably like Ian, only the captain professes to not to know her.

The more time Heather spends on the ship, the more convinced she becomes that the captain is Ian. Heather is also convinced that she is not on any 21st Century tourist cruise either but an actual pirate ship. If Heather convinces Ian he is not from the 18th Century, will they be able to find away to return home? Or will Heather's strange actions caused the jealous and superstitious crew to mutiny?

Time Storm is an amusing time travel romance with a creative new explanation of the Bermuda Triangle. The tale is full of Ms. Winston's wonderful humor and witty dialogue and historical detail that enhance the story. Heather and Ian are charming well-matched characters, making Time Storm a delightful read.

Storm Warnings is a wonderful anthology of erotic romance that combines three very different and superb short and spicy romances. I was enchanted with these stories that charm, tease, and tempt the reader into a world of sensual pleasure and delight.
