Far as Ryan Magee was concerned, Tina was nothing but a slut who cared for no one but herself, leaving the care of her son to others while she had illicit arrangements with men. Gradually, he realizes just how wrong he'd been. As an ex SEAL he thought he'd left his past behind. Now in the middle of a Hurricane, his past has come back to haunt him and the cost is high because he has so much to lose. Stormy Nights is an absolutely marvelous edition to Tonya's The Heroes of Silver Springs series and like the other, it easily stands alone. However, there is a thread woven through all the books and that's the developing relationship of two residents of Silver Springs, both members of the same firefighting team. This adds to the story rather than detracts and gives the series, indeed each book, a dimension that makes these stories a wonderful reading experience. I particularly enjoy how Tonya weaves the beginnings and what I would call sneak peaks of things to come, to keep the reader eagerly anticipating the next book. Wonderful characters, a volatile relationship, a hurricane, and the added danger of a drug lord seeking revenge, makes this an thrilling and fast paced novel that shouldn't be missed.
