Psychic Gailyn Bridges is planning on retiring from life as Median. But when she finds herself at the center of a violent crime, she has no choice but to accept the help of a mysterious spirit named Malak. Little does she know that Malak has plans for her as well. Will Gailyn be able to pay the price Malak is asking for her assistance?

Just like an episode of Ghost Whisperer, or Median, but with steamy sex scenes added. The story is familiar but written well enough to be interesting and entertaining. Ever chapter has a giggle-worthy title, such as The Coming, The Taking, The Giving etc. (Titles of future sequels?)

Gailyn, is an every-gal kind of character whose frustrated at being more connected to the dead, than the living. Malak is an appealing character, even though we never see the story through his point of view. The romance that builds between him and Gailyn is believable and satisfying. The supernatural details are interesting and well developed and makes the set up quite believable.

The story is quite short, even though the author had enough material to expand this story into a full-length novel. However, the story doesn't feel rushed. It's a brisk read that leaves the reader satisfied and wanting more.
