| The chosen one was foretold as the key to man's survival. But what the prophesy hadn't foretold was that the key could also bring destruction to all. Hunted all her life, Kala Rei had endured more pain and anguish in her short life than most people had experienced in a lifetime. Torrin Kerridon is the last warrior from an ancient order, sent to find the one who would wield the Sun Sword. What he found was a woman filled with passion and fire, one who would turn his world on it axis, and make him yearn for her with a fire that defied all odds.
Torrin Kerridon is a man who will fight against his baser needs to fulfill a wish he had made. And stubbornness, his one weakness, could cause man's downfall. Torrin's decision not to become sexually involved with Kala was quite funny but also made you want to slap some sense into him. Torrin was handsome as a god and a true warrior. But his stance in treating Kala as hands off for him was getting on her last nerve. And taking matters into her own hands, Kala showed true spirit in the way she handled her lust and true feelings for Torrin. And you have to cheer for Kala not only for what her life experiences have brought her, but how her strength and integrity are shown in this remarkable story. The enemy in this story is very evil and one who will meet a fate that I believe was very deserving. Ms. Couper has given us a very exciting and enticing story with many twist and turns that make this book a great read.
