Carly's planning the library's first Christmas party but she's ill and Quentin, who loves her, wants her to slow down. To make matters worse, after a trip to the doctor to confirm what she didn't think was true, she runs into her ex-boyfriend who doesn't seem to be there in Barkus with good intentions. Will Carly make it through Christmas with her love for Quentin in one piece?

This was the first story I've read in the Dawg Town series by Changeling Press and this was a holiday short read. All that being said, the author did an amazing job of establishing her story in such a way that a new reader to the series, such as myself, didn't feel completely lost. On the contrary, Ms. Anthony wrote the story in a way that made me eager to read other stories in the series to get that background information. On top of that, she presented incredible characters who are fun and engaging. Her sensual scenes were just right and the story, though compact, provided a solid threat, moved along at the right pace to an appropriate ending, and provided a lot of emotional and steamy entertainment along the way. I will definitely be looking for more works from this author.
