| Becky is completely blindsided by the existence of werecats. She knew that they existed until a gala costume party where she is attacked by one and finds out that she is the mate of another. She has always had feelings for Simon, a very handsome artist, but felt that he was out of her league, apparently he has other ideas. Her best friend is now the mate of the Alpha of the Pride, and apparently Simon is his second. Not everyone is happy about the new pairing. Another cat has had her eye on Simon and an outcast is determined to get even for her banishment.
I am really enjoying this series. This second installment is just as good as the first. I really liked the Becky character, even though her hypoglycemia makes it difficult for her to gain weight, not a problem I have. She is sassy and her snappy dialogue with Simon and her friends make for some humorous moments. There are some suspenseful moments as well and the love scenes really make the story special. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
