It is a story that covers 9 days in January and chronicles the lives of Megan, a psychic who is being forced to witness a serial killer for the second time in her life and the cop who falls in love with her. Detective David Stark first believes Megan knows who is doing the brutal murders and tries to make her tell him. But the sexual heat between the two of them flares and warms her when she knows she is the killer's next victim. Detective Stark has all the problems of getting involved with a possible witness and then begins to suspects his partner.
D. L. Edwards has crafted a journal-like story that chronicles a killer's horrors and the desperate efforts of both the police and the determined psychic who work to stop the killing spree. This is a tightly woven, very thrilling, occasionally disturbing and frightening story. Once I started reading, I was unable to stop until I read the last word. What an ending! I strongly recommend this book. D. L. Edwards has injected personality, history and believability in every page.
