Erin leaves Billy in the early hours of the morning, with tears in her eyes and heart, and returns home, back to the routine she had taken a much needed break from. They had shared something very special after having met at this holiday resort, but it is time for her to go back to her regular life.

Three months later, Billy is shocked when his secretary announces that Erin is waiting in his office to see him. The past months have been absolute hell; he had tried everything to find her, even calling every single person with the same last name in the area shed said she was from, after waking up alone on Maui and with no message. The message she has to give him now, in person, isnt something he had even thought about. But before Billy can sit down and digest this information, Erin disappears, this time leaving him a short note. Billy endures his secretarys anger, his younger brothers involving themselves in the situation and a serious case of drunkenness before he is ready to do something about this development. And that takes five weeks. Men sometimes just need a bit of help.

The Culver family absorbs Erin when they arrive back in Maine and give her all the love that she hasnt had since her family died when she was 10. For the first time in a long time, she doesnt have to live with recriminations that she just isnt up to the standards of the small community she lives in. Her fears that Billys family would be upset about them being together are totally unfounded; they are overjoyed that their son is finally happy.

Im a sap for a great story, Ill freely confess and this one is just perfect. The Culver family being so warm and caring is just the right thing for a young woman really having almost no one at all interested in her well- being. The wonderful way she is able to finally rekindle a sense of truly belonging somewhere and to someone, with this family. A tissue warning: the hospital scenes are just wonderfully written, so emotionally compelling, so make sure a few tissues are at hand. And last, but not least, the possibility that Billys brothers might have stories in the making have my eyes glued to the authors website. A wonderful story for all romance readers.
